About these terms

This website, https://iamankit.me, is operated by Ankit Kumar, an independent software developer working from H-103, Sector-63, Noida, Uttar Pradesh 201301, India. In these terms, "I" and "me" refer to Ankit Kumar, and "you" refers to the person or organisation using the site or engaging the services.

If a signed proposal, statement of work or agreement exists between us and it conflicts with anything here, that document takes precedence for the work it covers.

Services

The services offered are professional in nature — web and mobile application development, cloud architecture, technical consulting and related design work. Each engagement is defined by its own written scope, deliverables, timeline and fee, agreed before work begins. Nothing on this website is an offer to sell physical goods.

Quotes, fees and payment

• Quotes are valid for 15 days from the date they are issued unless stated otherwise.
• Unless agreed otherwise, an advance is payable before work starts and the balance is payable against milestones or on delivery.
• All fees are quoted in Indian Rupees (INR) unless the proposal states another currency. Applicable taxes are charged additionally.
• Online payments are collected through a third-party payment gateway. Gateway or bank charges, and any currency conversion cost, are borne by you.
• Invoices are due within 7 days. Work may be paused on overdue invoices after written notice.

Your responsibilities

• Provide content, access, credentials and feedback in reasonable time. Timelines shift when inputs are delayed.
• Ensure you own or are licensed to use any material you supply, including text, images, fonts and code.
• Nominate a single point of contact empowered to approve work.
• Pay for third-party costs such as domains, hosting, licences and API usage, either directly or as a pass-through on an invoice.

Revisions and scope changes

Each milestone includes the rounds of revision named in the proposal. Requests that fall outside the agreed scope are quoted separately and start only after you approve them in writing.

Intellectual property

On receipt of full payment, ownership of the deliverables created specifically for you passes to you. I retain ownership of pre-existing tools, libraries, frameworks and generic components used to build them, and grant you a perpetual, non-exclusive licence to use those as part of the deliverables. Third-party components remain under their own licences. Until full payment is received, all deliverables remain my property.

Unless you ask otherwise in writing, I may reference the project and display non-confidential screenshots in a portfolio.

Confidentiality

Non-public information shared by either of us in the course of an engagement is treated as confidential and is not disclosed to anyone other than people who need it to deliver the work.

Warranty and support

Deliverables are covered against defects in the agreed functionality for 30 days after delivery, and such defects are fixed at no charge. The warranty does not cover changes made by others, third-party service outages, new feature requests, or issues caused by content or systems outside my control. Ongoing maintenance is available under a separate agreement.

Limitation of liability

The services are provided with reasonable skill and care, but not with a guarantee of uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the extent permitted by law, my total liability arising out of an engagement is limited to the fees you paid for the work in question, and I am not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, revenue or data.

Termination

Either of us may end an engagement with 14 days' written notice. On termination you pay for all work completed and costs committed up to that date, and I hand over the completed deliverables for which payment has been received.

Use of this website

The content of this site is provided for information only and may change without notice. You may not copy, republish or use the content commercially without permission, attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, or use it in a way that damages it or interferes with anyone else's use of it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Noida, Uttar Pradesh. We will attempt to resolve any dispute in good faith before starting formal proceedings.
